The look
This design is built around a photo. The picture takes up one end of the sign and fades gradually into dark navy, and the name is set on the solid navy part in a cream serif so it stays easy to read.
There’s no border, and the accents are gold. Without a photo it works as a plain navy name plate.
Who it's for
Navy is forgiving with photos. Bay, chestnut and gray horses all look fine against it, and so do photos taken indoors or outside.
It’s a good fit for a show horse or a retiree. People also use photo signs as memorial plates, and for that you may want to add the horse’s years on the second line.
